London, UK – September 8th, 2026 – Qinecsa Solutions, the global pharmacovigilance specialist, has today announced the appointment of Willem Baralt as Chair of its Board of Directors, effective 1 July 2026.

Willem Baralt
Qinecsa has made significant progress in strengthening its commercial capabilities, advancing its technology transformation and creating a more scalable platform for growth. As Chair, Willem will work with the Board and management to support the disciplined execution of Qinecsa’s strategy, with particular emphasis on scaling its integrated technology and services offering and applying artificial intelligence responsibly across its products, service delivery and operations.
“Qinecsa operates at the intersection of patient safety and one of the life sciences industry’s most complex, data-intensive functions,” said Willem. “AI can materially improve how safety information is captured, reviewed, analysed and reported. Deployed through risk-based, validated and auditable workflows, with appropriate human oversight, it can improve quality, speed and consistency while preserving the scientific judgement and accountability that pharmacovigilance demands. Qinecsa’s combination of specialist expertise, technology and services positions it to help clients put that standard into practice. I look forward to working with the Board, management and colleagues across Qinecsa to translate that opportunity into measurable client outcomes, disciplined growth and, ultimately, better patient safety outcomes.”
“At Apera, our conviction in Qinecsa is grounded in its combination of mission-critical expertise, proprietary technology and specialist services,” said Chris Roper of Apera Asset Management. “Management has made substantial progress in strengthening the business and positioning it for growth. Willem brings highly relevant experience across healthcare, AI-enabled software, operational transformation and international expansion. His appointment strengthens the Board at an important moment and will support management as Qinecsa translates its AI strategy into validated capabilities, repeatable customer outcomes, disciplined growth and long-term value.”
Willem brings more than 25 years of experience across healthcare, MedTech and technology businesses in the US and Europe, including roles as CEO, CFO and board director. He has led businesses through scale-up, restructuring and strategic transactions, with extensive experience in private equity-backed and cross-border environments. His recent work has focused on translating AI strategy into product roadmaps, operating models and commercial priorities in regulated markets.
